Privacy policy
Last updated: 10 August 2026
Summiting is a one-person business run by Ryder Skillen in Ontario, Canada. This page explains exactly what happens to your information if you contact us or request an AI visibility snapshot. It's short because we don't do much with it.
What we collect
Only what you type into the snapshot form:
- Your business name
- Your city
- Your website address, if you give one
- Your email address
We don't ask for payment details, and we never will through this website. If you email us directly, we also have whatever you put in that email.
Why we collect it
To run your snapshot and send it back to you. Your business name, city and website tell us what to search for; your email is where the result goes. That's the whole purpose.
What we don't do with it
We do not sell your information. We do not rent, trade or share it with advertisers or data brokers. We do not add you to a marketing list because you requested a snapshot — if you want to hear from us again, you'll be asked first.
Who else can see it
A small number of service providers process data on our behalf in the ordinary course of running the site:
- Netlify hosts this website and receives form submissions.
- Google Workspace hosts our email, so anything you send us sits in that inbox.
- Google Analytics receives anonymous usage data about page visits — which pages were viewed, roughly where in the world the visitor was, and which buttons were clicked. This is never linked to your form submission or your email address.
Producing your snapshot involves running public searches about your business on AI assistants and search engines. Those queries are about publicly available information — your business, not you personally. We don't submit your email or personal details to those services.
How long we keep it
Snapshot requests are kept for up to 12 months so we can follow up and answer questions about a snapshot we sent you. After that they're deleted. Email correspondence is kept as long as the inbox is retained.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it entirely. Email ryder@summiting.ca and we'll action it — normally within a few days, and always within 30 days. You don't need to give a reason.
Cookies
This site sets no advertising cookies and does not run ad retargeting. Google Analytics sets its own cookies to count visits and tell repeat visitors from new ones. Nothing on this site requires you to accept cookies to use it, and you can block them in your browser without breaking anything here.
Security
Form submissions travel over an encrypted HTTPS connection and are stored in the accounts described above, which are protected by strong passwords and two-factor authentication. No system is perfectly secure, so we keep as little information as possible — that's the best protection we can offer you.
Children
This is a service for businesses. It isn't directed at children and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Material changes affecting information we already hold will be communicated by email to anyone affected.
